Mason, described the comments of British Prime Minister Keir Stama regarding the US strikes.

Strikes which he had just days before they took place said there was no indication of them

happening. In those comments, Stama described the attacks as an alleviation of the supposed threat posed by Iran.

Meanwhile, President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, described Iran as the principal source of instability in the region.

Quite a statement at a time when the EU's closest ally in the Middle East is committing genocide

and has been in the business of gradually colonising and ethnically cleansing the West

Bank since 1967 and all of historic Palestine since the late 1940s. What have you made of the

disgraceful British and European responses to the US attack on Iran?

Well, you know, it's always amazing how quickly any gesture of militarism gets Trump almost uncritical international

support and plaudits from liberal, Western governments, pundits, politicians, the democratic

leadership, democratic pundits like Van Jones, liberal hawks like BHL, almost all Western governments that have been in total

solidarity with Trump over this bombing, regardless of how little sense it makes tactically

or strategically, the priority of Western support for Israel, the fanatical hatred for Iran

appears to trump any basic, even imperial savvy on this issue.

I mean, I've no doubt that European states are perhaps a bit wary of this, that they think it's a risk.

But I suspect, based on what Stommer and his front benches have been saying, and as you said, Ursula von der Leyen,

their reiteration of propaganda lines about Iran getting a nuke, and their extreme caution about

saying anything that could be taken as anything other than support from what Donald Trump has

done, I think they possibly believe this is a risky operation that might deliver something

beneficial to them, so they're going to go along for the ride. Ultimately, I think they believe

that a united front of the West against the devil Iran is more important than any beefs
