Welcome to another episode of Giants Talk. I'm Cole Kuiper here with

Giants Insider Alex Pavlovich. And you probably sussed out by the name of our podcast that

we're going to be talking a little bit of Giants with you today. That's going to include a farewell

to friend of the pod, Maricio Dubon, Albert Pujols on the mound in St. Louis, Carlos

Right off the bat, Alex, the Giants fan base was thrown into turmoil just a few days ago

when a up and down, major league, minor league middle infielder was traded.

You would have thought barry bonds was traded

were you expecting this kind of fan reaction when maricio dubon was traded to the astros

that's a good question i was i guess a little bit surprised but then not really because i mean it's

it's it's a little similar to matt duffy, right? Like he's he's a skinny

middle infielder who is a fan favorite. You can easily make the case. I mean, we'll get to

why they had to make this trade, but it's like not a difficult one to make on paper. It's not

hard to figure out what the front office was thinking.

But he was popular.
