Hello there my very good friends Andy HMurray here for WhatCulture.com. The H stands for Happy Friday and today we are taking a look at last night's TNA impact debut on AMC.

Big historic show for TNA, their biggest in several years. As far as weekly TV goes, they are debuting on a new network to new eyes and potentially a much bigger audience than before. So it would be doing a disservice not to talk about it on the channel today. What this video will not be is a full on review. If you would like a full on review of the show with breakdowns of quality and blow by blow accounts and hot takes. You can check out the What Culture Wrestling podcast later on today with Adam Wilborn, Michael Hanflit and Michael Sidgwick. We're going to take more of a high level overview and just talk about some of the big events, some of the big talking points coming out of this show rather than breaking everything down. And we're going to start off with the thing that opened the show, which was the return of AJ Styles to TNA. Of course he was TNA's franchise player for a long, long time so you, you know, not a great surprise that we use on the show,

given that he was advertised.

That's the very opposite of a surprise, in fact. But the show opened with him. Nice shots of the arena. Looked cool. It sounded cool. AJ's logo was on the screen for about 10, 15 seconds. Not sure if that was before the music kind of hit in and all that stuff. Then he came down Big Pop, obviously.

It's AJ Styles and TNA. Very simple opening segment. I mean, it was kind of like an in-ring rah-rah speech, really. He said, this is the house that AJ Styles built. He kind of led the chant with some TNA and AMC chants. And he called the crowd the TNA Nation. I guess if you can't be a universe, you might as well be a nation.

Does that mean the AE w is a galaxy in this case

of wrestling we're gonna have to find this out at some point we're gonna have to

figure this out but we also saw a J later in the show too he interacted with

Frankie Cazarian and Mike santana ahead of their tna

world championship match which was the main event uh got in kaz's face kind of bickered with him a bit

and then he uh he encouraged mike so he basically said to mike santana hey go kick that guy's ass kick

go get him get him get him mike uh so that's what a j's involvement was. It'd be interesting to see if he wrestles again for TNA before he retires. We know that that WWTNA relationship could feasibly allow that, but we'll have to see if that comes to pass this year in pro wrestling. That was AJ Stiles. Up next, I think the next big talking point to talk about probably, is the debut, well, re-debue in one case, but the signing of two former W.W.E. names who arrived on the show. This was done in an in ring segment with Santino Morella, who is the on-screen director of a pority in TNA.

He basically came down the ring and said,

look, I've hired someone to run the show, basically.

Someone was gonna sort this place out,

keep them in line, all of that good stuff.

And that person was the former Sonia Deville, Darya Ray,

who came down the ring. Obviously, she was a pority figure in WWE when she was not active in the ring. And so she's played similar roles before. Pretty good talker, good personality, all of that stuff. Good for her. I like Sonia a lot. I like Sonia a lot. And I think it's a real shame, like how her in-ring career ended up panning out but good to see her back on tv she kind of started

off like uh doing a baby face thing like yeah i'm here in tna let's go let's go tna let's go
