We've been talking for a while about this whole California reparations thing.

And you said the first state in the country to pay reparations to descendants of slaves.

Gonna do it as a state, you know, it's been kind of pushed as a federal policy for many, many years, never gotten anywhere.

But California's gonna jump ahead of that and do it on their own.

Committing quen trillions of dollars to an unworkable formula of trying to figure out who's the descendant of a slave and what, you know, and what way it's harmed your life.

The total would be currently according to the task force, $569 billion.

Over a half a trillion dollars for a state to pay reparations.

That would be about a quarter million dollars per person.

For each of the states, 2.5 million black Californians, economists have noted, although you'd have to prove you're a descendant of slaves or not, or you just need to be black.

Well, yes, you've got to be a descendant of slaves.

There's all sorts of fine print, which is odd if it's racial discrimination.
