Josie Van Dyke, and it is Trash Day, but it is a special trash day, a unique kind of trash day,

because we are recapping 2025. 25. I had to make sure I didn't mess that up.

I almost said 2024. It's 2025. It's going to be 2026. And this is one of my favorite episodes

I do every year because I get to look back at everything that I have done, things that

have happened. If you're new to the weekly trash fam, if you're a new trasher, hi. But the evolution

of weekly trash is just one of my favorite things to talk about because I quite literally started this podcast

with no idea what I was doing at all, at all. When I started this podcast, everything was a one take

because I didn't know how to work a computer, fun fact. So I have a roadcaster right here.

Everyone always asks me like, what podcast equipment you use? I want to start a podcast. I got the

roadcaster. This is an old one because this is the one I got almost four years ago. But I didn't

know how to get this onto an editing platform. And even if I did know how to do that, I didn't know how to edit because

I didn't know how to use a computer. I also would have all my guests come at night. And this was

before I would film my podcasts. So they would come after I would put the kids down for bed at like

8.30. And I would announce them coming on the

podcast the day before. They would come and record at 8.30. They would leave, sometimes at like

one in the morning because we would like yap and yap after we podcasted. And then I would hurry and

download the raw audio with no edits, no cuts, nothing.

And I would download that onto Apple and Spotify and it would go up immediately.

Like immediately once we were done.

And it was super fun and crazy and chaotic.
