Tonight's first experience comes to us from Cliff, and Cliff's experience is called

The Longest Night of My Life. Cliff says, I found your podcast about a year ago and have since listened to every single episode.

Since then, I have been prompted often to consider telling my story, but repeatedly procrastinated.

I think I'm just never going to have peace with this until I tell my story,

and your amazing podcast is the perfect and probably the only comfortable platform I have to do so.

So, here it goes.

I am a very pragmatic and quite logical individual.

I typically do not believe in most things paranormal,

and at best chalk such things up as being just unexplained,

and not really believable.

I'm a big guy, physically fit,

and I carry a license concealed weapon daily, and I do not scare easily. I have never experienced terror, not fear, but true terror, until this night. At the time, around April of 2012,

my wife and I were living in a two-bedroom ground floor apartment

in a small town in southeast Texas. Neither of us at the time had ever experienced any real

paranormal activity up to this point. The master bedroom was on the end and to the right of a mostly

long and rectangular floor plan. Looking out of the

bedroom from the bed, part of the living area containing her piano, dining area, and part of the

kitchen can be seen. The apartment had a lot of windows, and with the addition of a few strategically

placed nightlights, these areas can be seen fairly well at night.

Before I continue, I'll just interject this for the record.

My wife and I do not use drugs, and we had not drank any alcohol on the night in question.
