I think we can all agree that the times in life when things go completely sideways, especially when it comes to our families,

well, those are the times when our faith is tested, proven, and grows the most.

In a moment, Dr. Youssef takes you to a very emotional scene in the pages of John, chapter 4.

A man is seeking time with Jesus, having heard the miracles he performed in the region.

Jesus could be his last hope to save his dying son. You'll join the emotional scene

when Jesus responds to the tearful pleas of this nobleman to heal his dying son. And Jesus takes

this father from just a flickering faith, fueled only by hope and pain, into a blazing faith, leaning completely into

the healing that Jesus offers to both body and soul.

Today we come to the second simeon or the evidence of the exclusivity of Jesus.

In the backdrop of this second sign, the second evidence, is that we see Jesus the

encourager, Jesus the encourager, uses this blunt confrontational

language.

And our Lord Jesus often does that.

That's because he loves us.

And because he loves his people enough to give them what they truly need, not what they think they need, but what they truly need.

And that is to develop a deeper faith, to build up not only a saving faith, but living faith, daily faith, walking in faith.

So turn with me, please, to the Gospel of

John, chapter 4, beginning at verse 43, all the way to 54. Now, in context, Jesus and his

disciple just came off of an enormous spiritual revival. It really was. And we read about it
