We're going to dispense with the chit-chat today because we've got a lot to talk about.

And by that, I mean just one thing.

Because it, by all right, should be the only story at this point in the national discussion.

But we're going to spend some time doing what the national media

is not that interested in doing, which is examining the second assassination attempt on

Donald Trump within 60-ish days, within two months, and being appalled by it, because many of my colleagues have not been able to take a moment

to do that. We're going to talk about what they've been doing instead, but I feel like we should

we should give it some moments, right? So that's what we're going to do today. And I'm going to do

that, as always, with my co-host, Vic Mattis. Hello, Mary Catherine.

I do want to say very quickly, I think the week got off to a good start for us since we got a nice shout out from our friend Hugh Hewitt in his Washington Post column as a great podcast to listen to.

That is a glimmer of good news, as is, by the way.

And we're not going to get deep into it, but I do want to note it. The exploding of the pagers owned by Hezbollah operatives all over

Lebanon, which is about as targeted as an attack as one can possibly make. I'm obsessed by

some of the videos.

The fellow in the grocery store, that got him good.

And I thought, not since Dr. Beeper from Caddyshack, as someone had a bad beeper experience

like that.

If you have to go back, it's when he's at the swimming pool, he gets electrocuted like that.
