I'm Dr Scott Han and I want to welcome you to the Road to Amayas, a podcast from the St. Paul Center where we delve deeply into Sacred Scripture and I want to welcome also my good friend and our Vice President Rob Corzine.

Welcome, Rob. So good to be here as always.

Yeah, so today is a very special occasion. It is the

feast of the conversion of St. Paul, January 25th. So we're going to do the road to Damascus on the road to

a maze. That's right right the two great roads of the first

generation of Christian faith both marked by profound conversion. So we're going to

be looking at the St Paul who is undoubtedly the paradigm of conversion,

the most thoroughly converted man in Christian history perhaps.

I mean why was Paul such a fervent apostle?

Because Saul was such a fierce persecutor.

But at the same time, we're going to have to look more closely

to understand exactly what we mean by conversion.

If Paul was a convert, then what we normally speak of as converts has to be altered somewhat.
