So how did you get in with all of these Nazis?

The whole thing started back in, I think it was late 2010.

I was at Columbia Journalism School, and I was looking for a piece to do as a project.

And I heard rumors that there were skinheads in Brooklyn, in Greenpoint.

And I started looking into that,

and I quickly found out that they'd all been gentrified out years ago. But I found all these neo-Nazi,

weird nationalist websites who all looked like they were from 1994, like Angel Fire, AOL kind of websites, which is a tendency of the far right to make god-awful websites.

But after a while, I found a bunch of emails and I got on a bunch of forums and I just said,

this is me, I'm a journalist and I'd like to talk to someone if it all possible.

And it was just a wall of silence for months and months and months until one day an email drops

into my inbox from a guy calling himself Duke Schneider
