We know that Donald loves gold. He probably loves gold more than any person on the planet.

He loves putting it on things. He loves courting it, probably.

What's weird, though, is that everything he touches or attaches himself to turns to dirt.

Take, for example, his takeover of the Kennedy Center, a once hallowed institution.

Immediately upon re-entering the White House, Donald appointed himself chair, despite the fact that he has

zero qualifications and really bad taste. He made sure that his newly installed personnel on the board and in the

Kennedy Center administration were people loyal to him and his agenda. This year, the Kennedy

Center honors which celebrate lifetime achievement in the arts will be hosted by Donald himself, which means it's going to be more

like a roast than something honoring the life work of actual artist who care about art.

Here he is claiming that he had absolutely nothing to do with this decision.

The 2025 Kennedy Center honors, it's going to be a big evening.

I've been asked to host.

I said, I'm the President of the United States.

Are you fools asking me to do that?

Sir, you'll get much higher ratings. I said, I don't care. I'm President of the United States. I won't do it. They said, please. And then Susie Wells said to me, sir, I like in our house. I said, okay, Susie, I'll do it. That's the power she's got. So I have agreed to house. Do you believe what I have to do?

And I didn't want to do it.

Okay, they're going to say, he insisted.

I did not insist.

But I think it will be quite successful, actually.

Is Susie Wells a chain smoker or something?

Anyway, clearly Donald wants to do this. He told them he was going to be doing this.

I find it a little bit alarming that he has to keep reminding himself that he's president of the United States. And I think it's safe to say at this point that the Kennedy Center,
