It is Eclipse Day

I might call my friend Justin White at senior health services and goed him because I guarantee he is wound tight.

Oh, he's got to be so fired up right now.

He's been trying to get me emotionally prepared

for this eclipse for a month.

It looks like many parts of the state including the Houston area will be dealing with widespread cloud cover at the same time the eclipse is scheduled to start.

The partial eclipse here in Houston will begin at 1220 maximum eclipse at 140 and the partial ends at 301.

What's crazy about that is we've had a week of absolutely clear skies.

Beautiful skies.

I mean Chamber of Commerce weather. I kind of like a little cloudy myself myself but I realize the eclipse people.

Many areas across, especially across the hill country will see widespread cloud cover

at the time the eclipse occurs. A total solar

eclipse is not noticeable until the sun is more than 90% covered by the moon.

At 99% coverage, daytime lighting resembles local twilight.

Hit rocks like I hadn't seen the sun in three days. Eclipse shadows travel at

1,100 miles per hour at the equator and up to 5,000 miles per hour near the poles.

That's over near the checks.

The width of the moon's shadow is at most 170 miles wide or as big as Lizzo.

The maximum number of solar eclipses, partial annular or total, is five per year. Oh I'm upset.

Michael, just ain't like the others ones, Michael. You keep saying that. It's not like

this is a big deal. Okay, calm down. I'll get excited over your eclipse if it's important to you.
