Today I'm diving into a cool excerpt from a book called From a Certain Point of View,

a New Hope, Published October 2017.

This book is a collection of stories contributed by 40 authors writing about the time surrounding episode 4.

The excerpt that I'm focusing on today is Time of Death written by Kaven Scott.

This story focuses on Obi-Wan transitioning into the Force,

and the many different avenues he visits from his past life.

We begin at the moment when Obi-Wan is cut in half by Vader.

Next, we are teleported into what Obi-Wan is thinking and what he sees as he becomes a Force Ghost.

We've discussed a lot about connecting with Force Ghosts from the regular world,

but we haven't heard it from the point of view of the Jedi as they transcend.

Let's go back to that scene.

Vader and Obi-Wan are battling in their iconic duel.

Obi-Wan tells Vader,

you can't win, Darth.

If you strike me down, I would become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Obi-Wan sees Luke and with a hint of a smile,

Obi-Wan lifts his lightsaber up, closes his eyes,
