Summary
Acts 4:32-37 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33 And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. 36 Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37 sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet.

| 0:10.1 | Today we're going to do that by looking at the Book of Acts 4 verses 32 through 36. |

| 0:20.6 | This is an account, basically, of what happened in the beginning stages of the church. |
| 0:27.5 | After Jesus had lived and died given his life for us, and ascended back into heaven, |
| 0:33.2 | the church became empowered by the Holy Spirit and was going out, spreading the gospel, |
| 0:38.2 | the good news of Jesus Christ, and we're living together in a way that's just so uncommon. |
| 0:43.6 | And I want to look into that a little bit today because it's some of what's behind what |
| 0:48.4 | we've done in developing a new benevolence platform called Not A Needy Person. |
| 0:52.4 | We're going to talk about that in just a little bit. |
| 0:54.8 | Let's look at Acts chapter 4 verses 32 through 37. |

| 1:11.7 | So can you imagine that a place where everybody, if their own choice, is saying whatever |
| 1:17.0 | I have is yours, and in response, people are saying whatever I have is yours. |
| 1:22.9 | You see, they're there having everything in common. |
| 1:24.9 | It means they're caring for each other on this deep level of love, and it's because of |
| 1:29.3 | the unity that comes from being believers in Jesus Christ. |
| 1:33.2 | Now, I want to stop and ask you a question, have you thought of your relationship with |
| 1:38.4 | other believers in Jesus Christ in that way that you are so united, you're so connected |
