The opioid crisis is crushing us.

It is now killing 30 Kentuckians every week.

We're in a board-winning paper soon to celebrate our 150th anniversary, with a team of journalists

dedicated to covering addiction issues.

I'm Beth Warren.

I'm an Enterprise and Investigative Reporter focusing on the addiction crisis.

You'd be surprised that police and judges and prosecutors, people you think of and an

adversarial role, have been very compassionate.

Everybody is trying to figure out how to get us out of this crisis.

Let's get our testosterone-injected music on to set the tone for going on and riding

with the cops.

The ninth mobile division, they target guns and drugs and gang members and often wrapped

up in the same case.

So they are targeting the hot spots where there have been recent shootings and violence

and they're helping to get as much drugs as they can and illegal guns off the streets.
