We have to give the full story. Before you can fully appreciate the good news of forgiveness,

you need to understand the bad news, bad news. God hates sin. Good news. God does not hate sinners.

Even more good news. God loved us so much. He sent his son to die in the cross and take that judgment

upon himself.

What kind of doctor would run some tests and then leave out all the bad news?

The bad news may be hard to hear, but before you can cure the disease, you have to know about the

disease. Today on the new beginning, Pastor Greg Laurie points out that believers have the cure

for any eternal disease, a problem that could affect us for eternity, and will recognize the

importance of delivering the bad news and good news side by side so people can be saved from the sickness

of sin.

Let's read now a few verses together. Romans chapter 1, I'm going to start in verse 16. Paul writes

these words. I'm not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God that brings salvation to

everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel, the righteousness

of God is revealed, a righteousness that is my faith. From first to last, just as it is written,

the just shall live my faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all in Godliness

and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth and unrighteousness because what may be known
