Welcome to our daily rosary meditation.

We are immersing ourselves in the life of Jesus as we prepare for Christmas

and to consecrate ourselves to marry on January 1st.

Today we take the parable of the wedding feast

that Jesus explained on Monday of Holy Week that ends with his crucifixion on Friday and

his resurrection on Easter Sunday.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

The parable of the wedding feast is a fascinating parable, which

looks pretty straightforward at the start, but then has a confusing and uncomfortable ending. It tells about a king who's

putting on a massive wedding reception for his son, but his friends, who are naturally the first people he invites to the wedding

blow him off. They won't come. So the king tells his servants to go out and

invite anybody they see.

He doesn't want the wedding feast to go to waste.

So a bunch of unexpected people end up coming to the feast,

which is great. But the story doesn't end there because one of the

guests wasn't dressed right he doesn't have the right clothes he doesn't have a wedding

garment so the king throws him out. This king who

invited everybody and anybody to his party kicks someone out just because of what he was wearing.
