1:07.7	So back in 2011, while I was writing a book called All the Money in the World,
1:13.7	I interviewed architect Sarah Susenka about the size and scale of American homes.
1:19.7	Susenka, author of the Not So Big House series of books, noted that she encountered many homes with unusable rooms.
1:28.7	Spaces that didn't reflect how people actually lived.
1:32.7	Such waste could be pricey for normal folks, but she reported that even her clients with unlimited budgets
1:40.7	tended to be happiest with everyday uses for their spaces.
1:46.7	The goal should be to use every square foot every day.
1:53.7	After recently rereading All the Money in the World, I have been revisiting my old work like I recommended in a recent episode.
2:01.7	I have been thinking of that goal with my new old house.
2:07.7	We spent a year renovating this historic home partly to be sure we could use the somewhat eclectic spaces.
