Second Chronicles, Chapter 6, verses 32 and 33.

Likewise, when a foreigner, who is not of your people Israel,

comes from a far country for the sake of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm,

when he comes and prays toward this house hear from heaven your dwelling place and do according to

all for which the foreigner calls to you in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and

fear you as do your people is real that they may know that this house that I have built is called by your name.

So this is Solomon praying the dedication of the temple.

And certainly he's praying for God's glory to be made known among his people, the people of Israel.

But here, at this point in Second Chronicles chapter chapter six he specifically prays for the nations beyond

Israel for foreigners who will come to this house this place where the glory of God dwells in the

middle of his people and praise to God and Solomon says hear their prayer and answer them in order that did you hear that

phrase in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you in

order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you this is why we

pray continually on this podcast for the spread of the gospel to more and more people

groups, because this is the purpose of God in the world.

This is the purpose of God in His Word from cover to cover.

From the beginning in Genesis chapter 1 and 2, God creating man and woman in his image

and saying, spread my glory throughout the earth, multiply and fill the earth.
