Hi, everyone. It's now 4 o'clock in New York. It is 11 p.m. in Israel, where the situation

is still incredibly tragic and incredibly fluid and very, very tense. Nearly four days

after one of the darkest moments in that country's history, a massacre of Israeli civilians

that marks the single worst mass murder of Jewish people since the Holocaust. And some

of his most extensive remarks since the start of the crisis, President Joe Biden can

dem the attack and has pledged an all-hands-on-deck effort to support Israel much.

You know, there are moments in this life, and I mean this literally, when the pure unadultered

evil is unleashed on this world. People of Israel live through one such moment this

weekend. The bloody hands of the terrorist organization Amas, a group who stated purpose

for being is to kill Jews. This is an act of sheer evil. More than 1,000 civilians slaughtered.

I just call slaughtered in Israel. Among them at least 14 American citizens killed. This

is terrorism. But sadly, for the Jewish people, it's not new. This attack is brought

to the surface painful memories. The scars left by a millennia of anti-Semitism and

genocide of the Jewish people. So, in this moment, we must be crystal clear. We stand

with Israel. On the ground, the Israeli government announced today that it has secured the

border with Gaza, and that it has began control over the communities in that area, which were

the scenes of heinous and horrific attacks. With the US government describes as, quote,

ISIS level savagery. At least 100 people right now are hostages of the terrorist group Hamas,

and that terror group promises to execute them in response to any attacks in Gaza.

The US government says that Americans are among the hostages. Our colleague and the anchor
