I'm going to turn seven on January 24th.

And I would like a story about a gymnast, a magical deer, and a magic phone.

Tonight's makes-up story request is from a girl named Everly, who lives in Overland Park,

Kansas, and who turns seven years old today on January 24th.

And so we want to say, happy birthday, Everley.

And Everly asked for us to make up a story that includes a gymnast, a magical deer, and a magical

phone.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a big girl whose name was Everly.

It was Everly's seventh birthday, and she had a lot of fun things planned for the day, including a birthday cake.

But Everly waited and waited and waited, and when she finally got her birthday cake and her parents cut it,

do you know what happened?

What?

All of the cake was empty.

It just had frosting on the outside and inside it was totally empty.

So when Everly's mom cut the cake and started to give it to Everly, do you know what Everly saw?

What?

Only the frosting part, nothing in middle.

And Everly said, that's not fair, Mom, because I wanted to have a regular birthday cake.

And it wasn't fair because kids should have a regular birthday cake.
