President Trump extends the ceasefire and the blockade.

President Trump announced today he's extending the ceasefire to give the fractured Iranian regime time to come up with a unified proposal.

In a post on Truth Social, the president said Pakistani negotiators have asked the U.S. to hold back

on its attack until Iranian leaders can come up with a proposal, and he's agreed to do so.

Trump announced, quote, I have therefore directed our military to continue the blockade,

and in all other respects, remain ready and able, I have therefore directed our military to continue the blockade and in all other

respects remain ready and able and will therefore extend the ceasefire until such time as their

proposal is submitted and discussions are concluded one way or the other.

President Trump is also calling on the Iranian regime to release eight women facing execution

as a show of goodwill.

In a truth social post today, he told Iranian leaders that he would, quote, greatly appreciate

the release of these women. Please do them no harm, he said, adding that it would be a great start

to our negotiations. The women were reportedly arrested during anti-regime protests. Human rights groups say Tehran has held sham trials and carried out hundreds of executions after detaining more than 50,000 protesters.

The War Department has released video of American troops boarding a sanctioned Iranian oil tanker in the Indian Ocean.

The vessel left Sri Lanka Saturday bound for Singapore.

Pentagon officials say the boarding was carried out without incident. In a statement, the department

declared, quote, international waters are not a refuge for sanctioned vessels. We will continue to

deny illicit actors' freedom of maneuver in the maritime domain.
