Former CIA director John Brennan is facing possible criminal charges for allegedly lying to Congress about the Russia investigation.

House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan announced today that he's referring Brennan to the Justice Department for prosecution,

saying he knowingly made false statements during sworn testimony last year.

The committee alleges that Brennan lied when he denied using the discredited steel dossier

and drafting the 2017 intelligence community assessment on Russian interference.

Jordan's referral follows the indictment of former FBI director James Comey for similar charges.
