It's been quite the decade so far for the United Arab Emirates the Gulf Arab country and economic and technological

powerhouse in the Middle East, was the first name in normalization deals

with Israel at the start of the Abraham Accords, and while some in the West might have thought at a

pleasant surprise they'd be interested in knowing the UAE and its leaders

had long taken a harsh stance against Islamic extremism.

And this week its president Muhammad bin Z or MBZ as he is affectionately known,

or MBZ if you're European, makes an official visit to the United States and the United Nations General Assembly.
