In a rare set of meetings this week, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan was in Beijing to speak with the Chinese President Xi Jinping and other top officials to discuss the flow of illicit synthetic drugs, A-I safety and direct military communication. The three days of meetings come as tensions with China have spiked concerning the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.
