Monday, November 17th, 2025, I'm Eben Brown. Will President Trump's plan for Gaza ever come to fruition?

Can Hamas be disarmed and Gaza rebuilt and will the rest of the world help? Or will Israel resume

fighting? And if Hamas is still standing? And all of this is just meters away from people's homes

in Israel, then it will drag us into another war. And we don't want that. President Trump wants

to be the peace president. This is the big test. Gaza, can he impose

peace and stop Hamas dragging everyone back into war again? This is the Fox News Rundown

evening edition.

President Trump has been hoping the international community will fully commit to his idea for a post-war,

Gaza Strip, one that sees Hamas disarmed and dispelled and uprooted, if not fully dismantled,

and made secure by an international force, most preferably led by the militaries of other Arab and Muslim countries.

The president's so-called

20-point plan was up for a resolution vote at the UN Security Council where Russia could use

its veto power to stop the effort. Russian President Vladimir Putin has put forth his own ideas for

Gaza, one that declares a Palestinian statehood and involves no stabilization forces.

Israelis are skeptical about all of this. They're elated, of course, that most of the hostages

are returned. As of this recording, three deceased hostages remain in Gaza. And while the active

fighting is slowed, there is always something in the back of the mind saying this is yet to be concluded.

When you ask how Israelis feel about the war, maybe ending, maybe not, you have to remember that this is a war that Israelis didn't want to start to begin with.

This war began when Hamas invaded with the barbaric atrocities of October 7th.
