The changes in Afghanistan have been swift and troubling to many watching from near and far.

Americans struggle to leave and Afghans fear for their futures and in many cases their lives.

So where do we stand in Afghanistan with the

evacuations and the proposed deadline for America's exodus from the

country? What it really means is that everybody won't get out.

If you could extend that, if that deadline was not so hard and fast,

then you could imagine a good bunch of at least the people directly connected

with the US operation there could have a chance to get out.

Now in a matter of days, there's just no way that's going to happen.
