Many people think that meditation is a practice that requires sitting still for 30 minutes at a time, perhaps in an uncomfortable

position, and banishing all thoughts from one's mind. And of course, I'm a long time

meditator, I cannot do that.

We're going behind the buzzwords and speaking today with Dr. Greg Hammer who's a physician and mindfulness expert.

I think that many people get turned off to meditation.

Maybe they try it and they feel as though they've failed,

or it's too daunting, given that impression of what meditation is.

Meditation actually is something that can be done in just a few minutes a day and I've written a book called

Gain Without Pain and Gain is an acronym for what I think are the four fundamentals of happiness and mental and spiritual well-being

and they are gratitude, acceptance, intention, and non-judgment. So I practice and teach something very simple which is a gain meditation and I'll tell you about that it can be done in three minutes so who doesn't have three minutes?
