Wednesday January 3rd 2024. I'm John Saussier. The border is a major issue in this election year and

a lot of these people who are making the dangerous trek north into the United States

are winding up in cities they never imagined being in.

That's causing financial problems for those places which aren't equipped to handle all these extra people.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is saying that federal help is needed and that these cities cannot do it alone.

He's saying that sanctuary cities like Chicago are being targeted as such and

that the government needs to help them and that they're not.

This is the Fox News rundown, evening edition.

How about this fact to kick off a new year?

At the current rate, more migrants are entering the United States each day

than American babies are being born.

A large number of those migrants are being bused to sanctuary cities by Republican governors who argue that this is a national issue.

Chicago is one of those sanctuary cities and now they're getting ready to throw your federal

tax dollars at the problem.

We have over 33,000 migrants that have come to the windy city from Texas all since August of

2022.

Now these people are coming in different modes of transportation at this point in time.

As we know, some people are being brought here by plane because of the Texas government's decision to bring them to

sanctuary cities.

They also know many of them are coming by bus.
