I'm recording this on a Sunday. They're being cute. They're

starting a band. Jack's playing the piano. They got drums, got a couple of instruments.

I don't have the heart to tell them to knock it off. So we'll be serenated in the background

throughout today's episode. Today's episode, I want to talk about marijuana. And I promise you,

I did not mean to do this on 420 is

it January very much it's 420 so that's like marijuana pothead time and day so like big

marijuana day I really jeff like I prepared a segment on marijuana like like three months ago

and we just never got around to it and then I thought of it again today and. And I was like, I should do that marijuana. And then two seconds before I started recording. I was like, oh, I think it's like, sure enough, 4.420. So here's what's going on with it. You and no one should smoke marijuana. It's very bad for you. And just because it doesn't kill you the first time you do it or maybe ever, that doesn't mean it's good for you. And just because it doesn't kill you the first time you do it or, you know, maybe ever,

that doesn't mean it's good for you. I understand that argument's like, well, I don't die when I do it

the first time. Okay. So there's a lot of things that maybe you don't kill you right away. And just

because something may even,

you think, have a positive feeling the moment you do it, that certainly doesn't mean it's good for you. I think all sins, I think all sins, are pleasurable in the moment. So the reason I thought

about this couple months ago is because the New York Times wrote a series of editorials about why marijuana is bad.

And it's noteworthy coming from them because they were for marijuana legalization for a long time, as was I for a long time when I had more of a libertarian take on everything.

One of the pieces from the New York Times editorial board says,

it's time for America to admit that it has a marijuana problem.

Another one says marijuana is everywhere.

That is a problem.
