Good morning indeed. We're picking up with day two of our wisdom for work from the

Psalms devotion on the Bible app.

There's a link to that in the description if you guys want to follow along with us.

And as always I'm going to read the scripture, then Tori's going to pick up with the Devo.

Let's do it.

The scripture is Psalms chapter 25 versus one through five and they say this

Oh Lord I give my life to you. I trust in you my God. Do not let me be disgraced or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat.

No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced.

But disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.

Show me the right path, oh Lord. Point out the road for me to follow.

Lead me by your truth and teach me for you are the God who saves me all day long I put my hope in you.

The devotional says this.

Can you repeat David's words with a straight face?

God, my hope is in you all day long. I know I can't most days. That might

be true in the mornings after I've spent time in the word meditating on the hope of the gospel.

But once I sit down at my desk, it often feels like my hope is in signing the next book deal,

hitting the next milestone and podcast subscribers, or helping my kids get straight A's at school.

These are examples of good things that you and I should be ambitious for.

Done with proper motives, they are part of the good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.
