Summary

Even IF Diddy Is Found Innocent The Feds Could Take EVERYTHING He Owns
Was Diddy really channeling his inner Suge Knight, or is this just another chapter in a long list of shocking allegations? The latest superseding indictment against Sean "Diddy" Combs is expanding the timeline of alleged criminal activity all the way back to 2004, bringing new victims and even more disturbing details to light—including an incident where a victim was allegedly dangled over a balcony.

Former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins Tony Brueski to break down the new charges, the introduction of RICO, and the government’s aggressive pursuit of Diddy’s assets before a conviction. Is civil forfeiture a necessary tool for justice, or just a legal loophole for the government to cash in? And if someone is later found not guilty, do they even have a shot at getting their stuff back? (Spoiler: Probably not.)

With more allegations surfacing and the stakes getting higher, how will this case unfold—and just how much of Diddy’s empire will be left standing when it’s all said and done?

0:25.9

He's going to unpack a lot of that and how the updated charges.

0:30.1

Now, expand the timeline of the alleged criminal enterprise and new victims and even include a shocking detail about a victim being dangled over a balcony.

0:40.3

Eric Fattis, defense attorney, former prosecutor, joining us for the conversation.

0:45.0

Given your background, Eric, here, you know, working on both sides of a case like this.

0:52.1

Let's start with this.

0:53.4

When you saw the new superseding indictment, one that extends to the racketeering and conspiracy,

0:59.3

all the way back to 2004 now and the allegations like the balcony incident, what's your

1:04.2

initial reaction and how do you think the overall updates are going to affect the narrative

1:09.4

of this going forward?

1:11.2

Yeah, you know, Tony, I actually reviewed the superseding indictment this morning.

1:15.0

Certainly some concerning allegations and there are no question.

1:18.6

But on the other hand, I found it to be a little bit underwhelming.

1:22.0

You know, it didn't, it added new allegations and new alleged facts.

1:25.5

It added two new alleged victims to counts one and three,

1:29.8

the racketeering and the transporting across state lines for prostitution. But it didn't add any new

1:34.7

victims to the sex trafficking count, count two. And the dangling over the balcony of that

1:41.1

alleged victim, that was something that we had at least heard reports of before.

1:45.3

And so I'm not overly floored by these new developments. I find it interesting with the

1:51.9

dangling over the balcony, because I'm like, was he trying to be Shug Knight? Was he trying to do

1:57.3

the vanilla ice over the balcony thing that we heard about years ago and behind the music.
