No, so the problem with the schedule was I, as a jet fan, I'm looking for three things, right?

This is what I'm looking for in a schedule, and I think everybody's different. Number one, selfishly, hey, what games am I going to? And I think we all do that. You did the same thing with the Giants. God, what games am I going to? Because I wanted to go to Europe. Yeah, and you're disappointed that they weren't. get a European game.

So number one, you're looking at that.

Number two, you're looking at, like,

kind of parts of the schedule that scare you or parts of the schedule that you're like, whoa, this is a great opportunity. So in the case of the Jets, and I walked away from it immediately, they better beat the Tennessee Titans. Like that is such a must win game. And I said that to you yesterday before knowing what weeks two, three, four, and five would look like. But bottom line is, if they don't beat the Titans week one, the Jets are going to be on their way to a two-and-fifteen season. Like, they're going to be on their way to an own seven start. I mean, Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago, they feel like losses. Cleveland could be a win. They feel like losses? So if you start two and three, are you hating yourself? If I start two and three? Yes. No, I'd be ecstatic. I'd feel pretty good about it. But that's because Green Bay, Detroit and Chicago, especially with Detroit and Chicago being on the road, feel like likely losses. And so if you lose to Tennessee, you're very likely going to be 0 and 4.

Is that not a fair opinion I have? No, you're right. But so I hear what you're saying. So you need to be able to feel good about something. And Tennessee is the one on the top half of the schedule, the top quarter of the schedule, where it feels winnable. And you nailed it with Cleveland. like if we're trying to be realistic in the Jets having a somewhat entertaining season, two and three is a pretty good scenario. It means you beat Tennessee. You probably lose to Green Bay, Detroit, and Chicago. You beat Cleveland. And you're two and three going into the divisional games against the Patriots, Dolphins, and Raiders, in which you're like, whoa, hold on a second. Dolphins suck. Who knows about the Patriots?

And we've got the rookie quarterback at home. Like that's where you say we have a season. Like they got to be two and three. And the only way they're realistically going to be two and three is if they beat the Titans in week one. So that was like one of the noticeable patches from the jet schedule that jumped out. I can almost feel like because the first eight, I could, I could see a split.

I could see the jets being four and four. That'd be a win. Four and four. One hundred and look at this schedule. Titans. Okay. I'm giving you the wins. All right. Titans. Like this is Mike Francesa Radio. Browns.

Okay, that's a win.

Dolphins. Okay. And the Raiders. Okay. And how old team? I'm not the worst. I'm not bad. But either way, it has to be a win against Tennessee. All gas, no breaks. That's case. Because if you lose to Tennessee, you're staring at O and 4. And then you could throw out your vacant start off four and four.

Because you'd have to tell me that when you are a young team and you get off to a start like that, it's probably going to spiral into a bigger disaster. The third thing I look for in a schedule is my prime time games, which I as a jet fan, I may be alone in this. I know Joe B's not a big fan of it. I like my prime time games.

I like the moment in the sun. And I get it that if they lose the prime time game and they get embarrassed on primetime TV, I'll come on the radio the next day and bemoan how, why can't we lose at 1 o'clock? Why can't these embarrassments happen when people aren't paying attention? Honestly, that's probably why they did it.

Why?

Because they don't know if the Jets are going to be good or not.
