So the first one I'd start off with on a fair met Yankee trade is the smaller one, the one with less risk.

For a fit wise this season, Trent Grisham for Jeff McNeil.

If you're the Yankees, McNeil plays second. You move jazz back to third. I kind of want jazz at second. I'm just saying. I don't love that one. You don't love that one? It's interesting, but I don't love it. Would you do that, Tommy? I would not. I think we've seen the, I know, I've been rough on Jeff McNeil.

I think we've seen the best of Trent Grisham.

It's impossible to think that he's going to even come close to duplicating what he did in the first couple of months.

And McNeil gives you that versatility. And McNeil gives you some pretty good center field defense right now.

He's not going to be a gold glover like Trent Grisham is. Well, that's the difference. But you, I mean, you don't know when Trent Grisham's going to regress to his

mean. Yes, no, no, you're right. And I think Trent Grisham's having a career season. I mean, all the numbers indicate that he is. He's already hit as many home runs. He's hitting any in any season. His OPS is the highest

that's been, so I'd agree with you. But he's a free agent

at the end of the year. And I think that's a

win now, fit now

kind of move.

Like you improve your defense in centerfield.

Grisham has had as good if not better. He's actually had a better offensive year than McNeil. And so just in the short term of it,

but it's not ideal because you're pushing jazz back to third base

after that whole scenario that we talked about three weeks ago where he's a second baseman. I spent spring training second base. No, you're right. They told me I was playing second base. You're all right. That is a negative to this because McNeil doesn't really play third base for all the versatility he has. I got to admit, as a Met fan, I think I would do it.

As a Yankee fan, no. Fair enough. And Lukey as a Met fan says, no, and I'm surprised he's not a big McNeil guy. My thinking behind why I would do it is it's a short-term fit kind of move. And you've even said, Tommy, Jeff McNeil's not long for the world. You wanted to trade him during the offseason last year.

They do have emerging second basements.
