And I thought about this last night because yesterday I wasn't ready to get to the who's next part.

It was more marinating on the decision that they made to move on from Aaron Rogers.

And so I thought about it last night and I kept racking my brain.

And I don't know if there's a perfect answer.

I like Sam, but he's not the perfect dancer. Nor am I giving him a four-year contract with a lot of guaranteed money.

My bad. I want to describe to you what I want.

And then maybe you can help me out. Okay.

I want to go into next year with a chance to win, but also a chance to see my future quarterback.

I need the future to start to begin next season.

I need to have a guy on this roster, doesn't mean he has to start right away, but a guy

on this roster who we can envision as being the starting quarterback for the next decade.

I don't want simply a Band-Aid. I want somebody on this roster next year who we all can

look at, even if he's holding a clipboard to start, and say, that can be our long-term answer.

That can be our forever quarterback. So I start there. I want that. Now, is that guy simply in

the NFL draft? Obviously, when you

draft the guy, especially in the first or second round and use a premium draft pick, the hope is,

yes, that guy's going to be around for 10 years. Is that guy available via trader-free agency?

I can still kind of squint my eyes a little bit, look at Justin Fields, and say, I can kind of see it. So is Justin Fields that guy?
