Yo! Welcome in to the House of L Podcast. I'm Lauren Tombs. Thanks so much for hanging out with me.

0:25.4

I want to do a say before we get to today's episode, which I'm so excited for you to hear from Evan Altman, but before I get into our interview,

0:39.4

I wanted to say thank you for the way that you responded to the Mini Minoso episode.

0:48.4

It's great. It's nice when I actually can do something that is... I really enjoy doing that episode. I really enjoy talking with Charlie.

0:58.4

And I'm so happy. I was telling my parents about this because my dad, he was a Mini Minoso fan.

1:05.4

And so he was really excited when he saw that Mini was up for the Hall of Fame and he wasn't sure that he was going to get in.

1:16.4

And so it crosses generations, like everything that crosses generations, it crosses cultural lines.

1:26.4

And I was really impressed by how many people wanted to get Mini Minoso into the Hall of Fame.

1:33.4

Like I thought it was dope, honestly. Like I thought it was really great that so many people went out of their way to learn about the man, to learn about his career.

1:45.4

And then champion his cause. And it's rare when you find something like that. There's so many different people can get down with.

2:30.4

And so to see people react to the Mini Minoso episode and his career overall, I, I think it's great. And I think the family would be really appreciative of that too.

2:43.4

So it's a good week. It's a good week for House of L. And, and I'm glad if you missed the episode. It's just a few episodes back. Go listen to it while you're listening to sports adjacent and everything else we do. The bears pod, all that stuff that's inside of what it is that we do.

3:00.4

But I wanted to thank you sincerely for really, really buying in and, and trying to learn something and then once you learned it, going out and being a champion for it, that's very cool.

3:15.4

When it comes to Evan Altman, you ever meet someone and you've just vibed with them.

3:26.4

And it doesn't make sense because you're not from similar backgrounds and places.

3:32.4

That's me and Evan Altman. We've really, I think we've only been in the room maybe together twice, like Cubs Convention, and I think he came to the studio once.

3:43.4

But I feel like he's like a friend.

3:46.4

And it's very strange how like this job and the connections that we have, like the really good parts of social media are when you see like-minded people or people who make you think, or people you go, man, you know, this person deserves more platform because they're insightful and smart and interesting.
