This is going to be an awkward Capitol talk podcast in some way, not because Carl Alter is joining us.

He doesn't make it awkward, he makes it better.

But we're going to get into a lot of technology issues that we've all experienced over the last few days trying to do things.

Also the Capitals, four games in, how did I look, including that loss of the

penguin, and effing Cindy Crosby, he's always got to ruin everything. Carl Lawson, J.J. Regan,

It's not a different barrage.

It's Lord Stanley, and he is coming to Washington.

This is going to be probably one of the most awkward and unique podcast that I know I've ever done.

I made a mistake, guys. And the mistake was this one time there was breaking Capitol's news,

and I decided to do a podcast from the road. I was like, oh, it's breaking, but I can get out here.

We can do it because now technology is allowing us to do it. And now they just ask me to do them from the road. So as I drive home from the postgame show, we are doing the Capital Stock podcast. So I'm going to just put this out of here now. If technology fails, JJ, it's not my fault. I mean, that's what you said last time, or that's what you say pretty much every time, and something else falls apart. You sound like you're doing the, you're in a copter doing the traffic report for early morning radio. So, I mean, this is going to be an interesting podcast. Well, this is good because this will be the first and last time I do a podcast from the because I'll realize it's a horrible idea, but I'm not here to tell what ideas are good and bad. I'm just here to do my job and then see what they think about it. Yeah, we come off now, Capital's loss, and there's the worst thing about this, Carl, of course, is Cindy Crosby's course, a game-winning goal. But I want to look back just first on this game and just get your overall reactions to what you saw good and bad overall in this game. Yeah, you're right. I mean, just what you said about Crosby. He's a great player, and I love his game. And I even hear he's a great guy, but of all people to score a goal to win the game,

it's just, it's the worst.

It doesn't get worse than that. So that's too bad. But, you know, the game kind of gave us a little bit of everything, I guess. I mean, the first period was great. like Lavuette said in his post-game interview.

Like that was as close to perfect of a game that,

or start, I guess, to a game that they wanted.

And that was, it was huge.

You thought they were going to somewhat run away with it.

But that's also kind of what happens in those games where you get ahead and you take your foot off just a little bit.

And you let another team get a little bit of life in that second period was what we talked about before the game and being more disciplined.
