We're talking about Ryan Day's hiring practices.

We are aware of the scuttle butt around recently hired

offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien and quarterbacks coach Bill O'Brien and

what's potentially going on there with the Boston College situation. As we're

recording this pod Tuesday afternoon there's been no change as As of right now, he's still the

offensive coordinator at Ohio State for the 2024 season. Get the text

But this is still an interesting conversation for us to have because Ryan Day is

entering year in 1920, 2021, 22, 23, 24, six as Ohio State's head coach, which

means he's a year away from Urban Myers last year as head coach,

which is crazy to think about how time flies sometimes.

But he has had to make enough hiring over the last six years, Nathan, that I think we have a good idea about for a guy who's still pretty young in his coaching career, how he approaches making assistant coaching hires on both sides of the ball and just from you because you've covered

the entire Ryan Day career time here and while Andrews only covered a year of it, if you had

to kind of evaluate just overview of how Ryan Day's hiring practices have gone and how

successful or unsuccessful they would be.
