Dave McDonald with me tonight and Dave affectionately known by me as Dr. Dave, someone that I started

listening to you with Jake Hollisker on the high stakes heat pod a long time ago, probably like six,

six years, seven years ago, something like that, and five, six years ago. And it just really

kind of was like a moment. Like it made me get really serious about high stakes fantasy baseball.

Like I'd been playing in the NFBC but I hadn't really been

sort of treating it with the respect and the kind of the time and the commitment that that it deserves

and that it takes and I really your show really resonated with me back then so I've been enjoying

you know hanging out with you and in

Vegas the past few years and uh having you on the show so really appreciate you coming on the show

Dave how you doing man I'm good man that's uh that's so flattering yeah it's uh I can't remember

when we started our podcast it was sometime around like, I think 2019 maybe or 2018.

It was somewhere around there.

And then, you know, for a couple of years, we did it fairly regularly.

But Jake being Jake did not stick with it, unfortunately.

But, you know, it was, I felt like there was a real hole at that time.

Now there's like so many pods out there.

But at that time, there wasn't like much for the high stakes industry.

You know, it's kind of a niche market and everything.

And we really wanted to cater to that because that's what we do and that's where our

interests lie.

And we really wanted to focus on things like strategy and roster construction and injury risk evaluations
