European leaders are preparing to meet in Paris for emergency talks about Ukraine and their

continent's security.

They're concerned that President Donald Trump's push to work with Russia to end the war has

left Kiev and Europe isolated.

The Europeans have not been invited to U.S.-Russia talks about ending the Ukraine war, which

are set to begin tomorrow in Saudi Arabia.

And Ukrainian president Volodemir Zelenskyy says Ukraine won't participate.

Right now, the United States is looking at this as essentially two separate tracks.

You have one track where it's going to be

the U.S. and Ukraine speaking directly and the other where it's the U.S. and Russia speaking directly.

And at some point, the two will eventually be brought together. If all goes according to plan,

that of course raises the question of what about the Europeans. Because at the end of the day,

we are talking about Europe. We are talking about European borders. We're talking about the potential threat of Russia against different European countries.

But no doubt this is going to be an extraordinary moment.
