allies sat down with Donald Trump to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine, just one day after the US

president's meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

In attendance were British Prime Minister Kirstama, German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz,

French President Emmanuel Macron, Italy's Georgia Maloney in Finland's Alexander Stube,

along with NATO, Secretary General Mark Rutter and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

And they seem to have decided in advance that, when it comes to Trump,

flattery will indeed get you absolutely everywhere.
