From Brazil's Jarosanaro, a former army captain and far-right candidate, best known for his

nostalgia for Brazil's old military dictatorship, to Hungary's Victor Orbán and Italy's

Mateo Salvini, the needle is starting to move. News that Germany's Angela Merkel is stepping down

doesn't inspire much confidence either. And China's Xi Jinping has been busily consolidating power, but fear not.
