So my feeling about watching France under Didier Deschamp is it's like buying a Ferrari

and taking it to a Walmart parking lot because it'll still go around the parking lot fast

and look really shiny and pretty, but you've got the sense that it could maybe stretch its legs a little more out on the open road.

And I think we should start with France, Germany, a game where maybe we might have gotten

something a little different if France hadn't scored first, but Kiji, France gets the own goal.

And while there were a couple of offside efforts, and Kiliambay is still a hell of a fun player to watch,

a lot of Germany huffing and puffing and not blowing the door down.

We think of France as dynamic and electric,

but really, they're just pretty solid and stout under DeChamp.
