and Alex, we are coming to you all a day after Portugal beats France and

extra time to win their first major international trophy won nothing victory

on the heels of eight airs, Scull on the 109th minute.

What a, what's the word,

just a little bit of a ridiculous final.

It wasn't the most beautiful final we've ever seen. It won't go down in the

history books as a classic. But it was it was compelling to a degree. You had

Christina and Aldo going down. Injured 25 minutes into the game he comes off and

all his hope is lost for Portugal of course but but then they did what

Portugal does and they they just put the game to a grinding halt they got some great defensive play some great

goalkeeping and here they are as champions.

Yeah I think this is the rare final that was not well particularly well played and was not particularly entertaining or at least overly

so but is also extremely memorable and will be extremely memorable and I think a lot of that has to do

with a Ronaldo injury like that was will be a extremely memorable.

And I think a lot of that has to do with a Ronaldo injury.

That was, you know, if you could pick one player on the entire field

that you would want on the field for the entire time that the game is going on,

it would be Rinaldo, and then nobody else

even approaches his level in second place.
