On December 10th, 2023, Camilla Mortensen, editor-in-chief of Eugene Weekly, was technically on vacation.

She was visiting her parents in Florida, but even off the clock, she couldn't fully unplug. She was still checking in on the scrappy Oregon paper she'd called
