with 17 people killed according to Palestinian health officials, the European Union's foreign policy chief, Joseph

Burrell, has condemned Israel's action.

He said he would consult with EU foreign ministers on whether to impose sanctions on Israeli government ministers.

I initiated the procedures in order to ask the member states if they want

either consider appropriated, including in our list of sanctions. Some Israeli

ministers has been launching hatred messages, unacceptable hate messages against the Palestinians and proposing things

that goes clearly against international law. This follows calls by the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres for

Israel to halt its military operation. I've been speaking to John Donison,

our correspondent in Janine in the West Bank.

This operation is ongoing.
