So it's kind of important that we know what we're doing.

Let's be honest, folks, the EU elections are confusing,

and don't even pretend that you've got all figured out.

We put the call out on social media for your questions,

even those you've been too afraid to ask,

and in the soothing anonymity of the internet,

here's what you confess to not knowing.

Can you actually vote for the president of Europe? When will we know the winner? Does this election

even matter? I'm Sarah Wheaton, host of EU Confidential, and as of a few weeks ago, a Belgian citizen.

And that's a crucial fact because I can finally vote myself.

I'm going from zero voting rights here to being legally obligated to cast a ballot.

So to help me and all of us understand the voting rules and what's at stake in these elections,
