Starting off right off the bat, we know Long Island, New York is your home, your original home.

You grew up there. And at that time, your father was running a restaurant that his father started,

Frankie and Johnny. So can you just tell us a little bit about, you know, just bring us into it

when you were a kid. What was it like? Did you go to the restaurant a lot? You know, just

give you guys either you ever been to Long Island? Yes. Yes. I've spent a bunch of time in Long Island.

I didn't know Garrett had been there. Yeah, I grew up there in the 50s and in a middle class

neighborhood. What part of Long Island exactly? In Nassau County. So you know,

around there, after World War II, Nassau County had a sort of exploded. Levittown was out and

maybe was it Nassau's Suffolk? That was Nassau County. It was. It just was exploding with

people that were working in Manhattan and wanted to live in the suburbs. My dad commuted to work

every day. He went to his favorite night. He had started there as a bartender when he was

a young man. When your grandfather ran the restaurant? Yeah. And when my granddad died,

my dad took it over and he had it till the late 80s until he sold it. It had been a

speakeasy when it was first founded by my grandfather. And Frankie was Johnny was my granddad.

Frankie. Frankie was his partner. Okay. And Frankie. Okay. So your Irish American or your

grandfather? Yeah. I wish. I break down because my did the DNA thing and I'm mostly Irish. I'm 24.2

percent Jewish and a certain amount of Scottish. Okay. Okay. So Johnny was your grandfather.

Who was Frankie? Frankie was your partner. Yeah. Frankie was another waiter there. So the guy
