Political I can't say I like it the Washington Post editorial board ran a headline another hurricane is about to batter our coast true Trump is complicit.

Debateable and they had the debate on Fox News about 43 times and every show I turned into their storm coverage was mostly people debating about this Washington post headline not much of a debate here Sean Hannity rest control of the narrative.

When it comes to extreme weather Trump is complicit he plays down humans role in increasing the risk he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks is Donald Trump Donald J Trump our president complicit because we have a hurricane about to hit the carolinas or all the Rivera.

Well Sean I think that he is indeed complicit I think he is also complicit in the stock market crash of 1929 who ends on a down note there to expect that at the end hurricane her although to sweep in the problem is that while of course global warming is real and can exacerbate and does exacerbate the effects of a storm.

Storm storms are also quite potent without having anything to do with global warming in terms of wind speed the way we have measured storms forever storms have not actually been getting any worse since before the earth's surface temperature began to rise.

There is evidence that storms have gotten wetter in terms of peak rainfall but I am reticent to allow the news media especially the cable news media to be the one to put this improper careful sober context the question of attribution just how much did global warming contribute to any one hurricane is an open question I have read studies that try to say with global warming the storm would look like this without global warming it would look like that and those are interesting studies that is science I defer to science.

Still there is a lot of hype out there I have heard dozens and dozens of times about thousand year rainfall and unprecedented rainfall it's very hard to separate hype here's our broker and rainfall is going to be unprecedented we're looking at a flood threat into early next week with anywhere from 10 to 20 inches of rain from myrtle beach all the way up to Cape Hatteras and again with upwards of three feet of rain.

Unprecedented means of course without precedent yet Harvey gave us 60 inches over Houston last year so this rainfall will be bad and will cause flooding but it won't approach that very recent precedent it is the most rain that Elizabeth town North Carolina has experienced so far since they've been recording rain in the Elizabeth town it's more than four times the amount they've ever experienced and so short an amount of time look this hurricane definitely seems bad but mostly it seems
