And it's interesting because you listen to them speak and you listen to them pretty much attack, you know, anybody who is speaking up for Kaepenik.

And you have to think, what is your ultimate reason for this?

Like, what is your goal?

Yes, you're going to be patted on the head by the executives.

Yes, you're going to move up and yes, you're going to gain ratings and you're going to gain certain demographics of

fans who love seeing a black face echo what, you know, they believe. But are you really happy

with that?

But first, before Aton Thomas comes on the line, I want to explain a little bit about what happened just earlier this week in New York City.

And I want to explain it by talking a little bit about some history.

In 1967, Muhammad Ali could not find work as a boxer. It was, of course, because of his politics.

In response to this, his fans and allies and friends

were not merely disappointed or discouraged. They demonstrated in rallies that span the globe from

Western Europe to the Middle East to El Paso, Texas. That's the only time I could find, as a

quasi-amature sports historian, of an instance where fans actually protested the exclusion and blackballing of an athlete on political grounds.

Until now, in 2017, Colin Kaepernick has, as of this writing, not been able to find work in the National Football League,

although perhaps by the time you hear this, he will have signed with the Seattle Seahawks.
